  • Prayer Request - Another Death


    I just wanted to write a quick post to ask for prayers. I just found out a very dear friend of mine whom I really loved has passed away last night from an accident. He was only 24.

    I'm in complete shock and really don't know what to think right now. He was supposed to be coming to stay with us soon.

    Please pray for strength and comfort for his friends and family in this really hard time.

    I will. . .  It was so unexpected, I can imagine the pain you are feeling right now.  Just pray to God and He will give you the strength you need to make it through this difficult time.  I will be praying for you.

    @my_chains_r_gone - Thank you. :( God's been a huge help, He's really carrying me through this. After the other deaths the last couple years, this one is still the hardest. We were supposed to be together this Christmas. Sigh.

    Hang in there!

    I want to share a passage of Scripture with you that always comforts me in times like this.  It is a very familiar story, but it takes on a whole new meaning for you when you are suffering from a loss like this. 


    The reference is John 11:1-44.  It is the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead.  I encourage you to read it, because it has helped me in the past and I think it will help you.
